United States v DeQuattro, Case No. 23-115 (1st Cir. 2024): After a jury trial resulting in an acquittal on allegations of programs theft bribery resulting from campaign donations, the United States for the Court of Appeals acquitted the owner of a large architectural and business service firm of the remaining allegations affirming that the defense contention that the recipient of certain gifts was not an agent of the entity – a Native American tribe – receiving federal benefits and determining that the elements of 18 USC 666 were not proven.

53 F.4th 679 (1st Cir. 2022): First Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the conviction of a pharmaceutical salesman finding that Government evidence was improperly highlighted on the jury verdict form.
